Job Description - Shift Supervisor Part Time - Dells Ice Cream

Dell’s Ice Cream & Coffee Shop is looking for an energetic, personable and dependable supervisor. Must have at least 2 years of restaurant or retail experience. Prior supervisor experience is a plus, but not required. Ice cream and coffee experience preferred. Business volume requires availability on evenings and weekends. This is a part-time position with significant growth potential! In this supervisory role, will be the ambassador of the guest experience and, perhaps more importantly, the FOH team member experience. The Shift Supervisor reports directly to the Store Manager, communicates effectively with other team members, executes on changing menus, ice cream pint inventory organization, shipping logistics, and has a grip on just about everything happening in the store. The Team Member ensures the delivery of consistent service and product, and maintains exceptional cleanliness in the store environment.

Key Responsibilities - Shift Supervisor Part Time - Dells Ice Cream

To be successful in this role, you’ll need supervisory skills and experience in both front and back operations of the shop. You’ll know how to operate and troubleshoot various areas of the shop all the while providing excellent customer experience to ensure that the shop operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining the company’s mission and quality of service. Ultimately, you will ensure our parlor runs smoothly and guests are having fun and creating nothing but great memories!

Responsibilities

• Ensure the store operations run smoothly and excellently
• Directly supervise, coach, and train all front of house staff on shift
• Ensure delivery of generous and excellent guest service ensuring that all steps of services as outlined in training materials are being followed on a daily basis
• Manage receiving and inventory of paper goods, supplies, ingredients
• Ensure basic standard operating procedures for all outlets are in place and are in compliance with Federal, State, local and food safety guidelines
• Move throughout the shop and freezer areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met
• Train new team on FOH operations: preparing coffee beverages, affogatos, sundaes, and more
• Record shift notes and communicating effectively with ______ in regular meetings
• Creating and managing employee schedules.
• Assist on store maintenance initiatives (including but not limited to pest control, internet, laundry, outside cleaning services, equipment services)
• Lead the team in setting up for service with an intimate knowledge of opening procedures
• Lead the closing of front of house at the end of service with an intimate knowledge of closing procedures
• Verify temperatures, judge appearance and taste of products and check preparation methods to determine quality
• Accountable for accuracy of cash register and register procedures
• Exemplify excellence for the rest of the team
• Be the face of a growing beloved ice cream brand
